Guest guest
I believe one of the classic signs of adrenal insufficiency is supposed to be hyperpigmentation. I've had a doctor say I didn't have adrenal insufficiency because I didn't have hyperpigmentaion. Has anyone here with adrenal insufficiency ever had hyperpigmentation or know if it's a relevant sign? In this article which Cindi posted, http://www.saitama-med.ac.jp/jsms/vol31/02/jsms31_115_120.pdf, the authors specifically state that the patients under discussion did not have hyperpigmentation, even though they were eventually diagnosed as hypocortisol. Maybe hyperpigmentation occurs only after total adrenal failure? Lynn
