The exercise thing is true for me. Although fibro seems to be hereditary in my family, overusing my legs is what brought the pain on. I was 15 and playing tennis and jogging every day. I guess it was just to much for my body.

Guest guest
It took me quite awhile to get through all the postings but it was well worth it! I've just started a fibro self-help course put on by the arthritis foundation & put on by our local community center. They're using " Your Personal Guide to Living Well with Fibromyalgia " as a text. It's wonderful to meet other people who have the disease even tho' it's somewhat disheartening to hear that some folks have had it as long as 40 years! The two things I noticed when everyone was introducing themselves is that the majority of people have been diagnosed within the last 5 years and that the majority of folks were formerly excercise nuts. Maybe that's part of the cause? Take care, all, I'm off to float in the pool (it takes my mind off the pain for awhile!).
