Guest guest
This is to EVERYONE who has fibro. There are 2 books that will tell you EVERYTHING about fibro, chronic fatigue, myofascial pain syndrome and all the other health problems associated with these diseases (which are ALOT). The first book is titled: Fibromyalgia & Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome, by Starlanyl and Copeland. Nicknamed, the Blue Book. The cover is blue. A newer addition has been published with updates and the cover is green. The second book is titled: The Fibromyalgia Advocate, by Starlanyl. This book tells you exactly how to explain to friends and relatives about you fibro. And it tells you exactly how to file and win your disability case. The cover is purple. These books has sections to copy to give to your different doctors to EDUCATE the dumbasses about your disease. They are the most informative books I have ever read. One doctor told me that fibro is depression and lack of sleep. I had copied some of the info from my books and had it with me. I told him he didnt know what fibro was, and gave HIM the info I had, which stated that fibro was NOT depression and lack of sleep. And that they are a few of the many SYMPTOMS of fibro. He about shit a brick. Needless to say, I never went back to him. These books are the size of a telephone book, and you can get them from Waldenbooks or another bookstore at the malls. The are about $19.99 each. They validate our illness and explain that other diseases like headaches, migraines, IBS, hormone imbalances, thyroid problems, muscles pain, joint pain, chronic fatigue, urinary incontinence, allergys, adrenal disfunction, blurred vision, ringing in ears, indigestion, reflux, and alot more are common in people with fibro. These books are the best info that I have found. I usually know more than the doctors do. You should copy parts of the books, and when a doctor tells you, " its all in your head " , you can whip out your information and wave it in his face and prove that HE'S the idiot. ha. There are also websites for fibro and chronic fatigue written by doctors and experts that I print out and give to my doctors and relatives. It has REALLY helped validate my illnesses. Type in " fibromyalgia " in your browser, and you should see all the websites for fibro. I hope this info will help all of you who are in pain and want answers.
