hydrocortisone query - short term use

Hi folks

I have a question about the above. I have arranged quite a lengthy trip in

three weeks' time which involves, buses, trains, tubes, more trains etc. and

then a return journey couple of hundred miles or thereabouts on public

transport to get home.

I am very weak and just started adrenal glandulars. What I am wondering is

this: could I utilise hydrocortisone for a few days to give me enough of a

'lift' to manage the trip without collapsing when I get there, which is my

fear.

Can this med. be used as a short term pickup, how long does it take to show

an effect?

Would be very grateful for feedback as I am already stressing myself

worrying that I will end up cancelling as I usually have to.
