Hello,

So I love reading all of the posts. I wanted to let you all in on something

that I recently started for myself. I have a health journal that I write in

whenever I don't feel well or something comes up. I got the idea when my

grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and had several people taking her to the

doc. I thought a journal would help as she wouldn't be able to remember

everything: dates and labs and relaying the info via email and remembering it

myself wouldn't work. So I took my own advice and decided to start a journal.

I put in the old info I could remember, diagnosis dates, procedure dates and

meds I have tried, allergies, doc names and numbers. Now whenever I have

arthritis pain, liver pain or anything else I write it in there. It was so

helpful when I took it to my doc and could give him exact info. I also wrote my

questions in the book before the appt so I wouldn't forget them and then I wrote

the answers on the next page. I was thinking this would also be helpful for if

I ever go to the hospital via ambulance and I were unable to answer questions my

husband could grab the journal and hand it over to the doctors for a history.

Anyways, thought it may be a helpful suggestion.
