My hepatologist tells me in this kind of

situations to go to the ER.

Shivering and pain are a pretty clear-cut

picture of a cholangitis attack (even though there can be other reasons for these

of course) even when you do not have a fever.

If you indeed have a cholangitis attack

you need antibiotics. My hepatologist says it is better to go to the ER with a

virus than not going to the ER and getting sepsis. I am no doctor, but my advice

would be to go to the ER.

I have had a cholangitis attack where my

LFTs where normal.

Subject: Could it be

a Cholangitis attack?

Hi all I have been in alot of pain since sunday now

and have been

taking morphine,Paracematol and dihydracodine but the pain is still

there.I have also been feeling really hot and then cold to the point

of shivering.

I don't have a temp though and my bloods aren't that bad either but it

feels like another Cholangitis attack has anyone had an attack when

there temp isn't high and the bloods aren't too bad?

I am going up the doctors this morning if I can get an appointment.

but any advise would be greatful.
