Guest guest
This is just my two cents about required pre-testing. I don't know if this is because I am an out of state person or not( I'm from Michigan). But I had seen quite a few posts about people getting thier pre op EKG and blood work done at the hospital in Durham before surgery. I emailed Dr. R and asked him a few questions, with that being one of them. I asked if I could have EKG and blood work done in Durham the day of surgery and he said NO. He didn't say why. Like I said maybe it's because if your from out of state and your EKG or blood work came back with something wrong, it would be a wasted trip. But you might want to make sure with Dr. R if you can or can't have testing done at Durham and not just assume that it is OK. Like I said just my 2 cents. from Michigan

Guest guest
Dr. R wants your pcp to see all you tests first and be involved with your health care as much as possible.. I belive those who have received tests the day of surgery is because theres were outside the 30 day time frame, that were already completed by the pcp.......... Just my 2 sense and now that i think I lost an once .1.5 sense :-D Lori 5-31-00--- In MiniGastricBypass (AT) e, McQuarter wrote: > This is just my two cents about required pre-testing. Guest guest
Darcy, I'm with you on the spam frustration. I even asked my local expert, my husband is a computer cop, a city cop who specializes in internet or electronic crime. spam is very hard to stop. anyone get unwanted or x rated stuff and never have gone to a site? I got full dirty pictures not just a link but since its from outside the country its hard to stop and i HATE it. http://www.urbanlegends.com/ is a site we use a lot to look up if its real, run a text line or a unique name to find it, our group does not need more spam but it happens I'll forward your message and see what he says, he's teaching for 2 weeks, to FBI agents on what he does locally to deal with computer crime. its all I can do to cope while he's gone. they don't pay him to be out of town besides his hotel and regular salary which is not a lot but he loves what he does. i just wish he knew how much i need help with to run the house and keep the kids...but people without limitations don't understand our challenges so i try not to gripe. i bet a lot of you all just push yourself and people think its fine, that we're more capable than we really are looking from the outside. wonder if we could develop anti-spam software like anti virus ware...
