Guest guest
I was DX with colon cancer in May of 07. They ended up taking out the entire colon due to my UC. When my vitamin D was checked it was next to nothing. I was lucky that I didn't have to have any chemo due to no cancer in my lymph nodes. I am seeing an oncologist and the first thing he did was put me on vitamin D supplements. I am taking 3000 mg per day. He takes 4000 mg per day. He had read a major article about the study of vitamin D which was in the New England Journal of Medicine. It did talk about the lack of vitamin D in our diet and that it has a direct correlation to risk of cancer and not just colon cancer. Just my 2 cents.
