Guest guest
Hi Everyone my name is and I just joined the group so I wanted to introduce myself by answering the questions sent as well as I can. I was just recently diagnosed around 2 weeks ago with CFS, Fibromyalgia and Hypoglycemia. . I feel a little overwhelmed with everything right now especially since my husband seems to think it is all in my head. I am trying to read everything I can to better understand everything, so any advice, info etc that you wish to share with me would be greatly appreciated. Age range: 29 Male/female: female What are the symptoms? Tired all the time, have problems getting and staying asleep, dizzy spells, headaches, muscle/body aches, problems reading sometimes, hair loss, mood swings, sweats, nausea, shaking, indecisiveness, confusion. ed with CFS, Fibromyalgia and Hypoglycemia. How long did you suffer before you got help? Some of the syptoms have been around for as long as I can remember but other have developed in recent months. Is there a time that you can remember when it started? Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you found this to be a problem also? I was overweight for the last 4 years but just recently lost 30 lbs in a rather quick time frame due to a change in diet because of high cholesterol and I thought I was getting myself in better health but instead I started feeling drastically worse. Are you on disability? no If you are any pointers for others trying to get on disability? What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm baths, medications etc.? Baths kind of help but only momentarily. Do you have sleep problems? yes I am awake most of the night How do you deal with it? My dr has me trying Elavil at bedtime to help w/ better REM sleep Do you have family that understands your illness? Unfortunately my Husband seems to think it is all in my head so that is why I have turned to the groups to find support/info. Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS or Fibro, have you? I am not sure since my doctor says I have Hypoglycemia too, I have been trying to log what I eat/drink & how I feel after to see what I need to avoid. What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you the most? So far I have only seen my General Practitioner. She has me going to see a Neurologist next about the headaches. My doctor hasn't really been too much help as of yet. She just said to sleep more, eat frequently, and exercise.
