My blood pressure was stable and right around 120/70 last year, then it started

climbing and getting erratic. About 3 weeks ago, I had 4 different high blood

pressures in the space of 15 minutes. Good thing the new doc suggested Cortef (I

told him the Isorcort just arrived and I was going to use that. I started with

one pellet nibbled for one day, then 2 pellets. After 3 weeks on Isocort I'm up

to 3 Isocort pellets/day and still on 1/4gr of Armour/day. ) Tiny doses and tiny

increases are easier for me to tolerate. Considering I used to have a high

tolerance for lots of things, I think this just points to a lot of long-term

damage. I am actually starting to see comfortable times these days. I have been

in really rocky shape. It's still up and down.

I am really grateful for the ladies (and gents!) on this list sharing such great

information.

A self-test to check adrenal health:

http://www.fredacare.com/client/deficiency/adrenals.htm

You will need a blood pressure monitor.

Lie down and rest for five minutes.

After five minutes, take your blood pressure (while lying down).

Next, stand up and immediately take another reading.

If your blood pressure is lower after you stand up, your adrenals may be

functioning poorly.
