Tom seems to be doing about the same

today as yesterday. The newest theory is that his intestinal problems

may be a result of the very high levels of Prograf in his blood. They

are not going to give him any of either of his anti-rejection drugs

tonight, and they'll start him on a much lower dose of the Prograf

tomorrow. My question is, if he's been having the intestinal problems

for 4 days already and they're being caused by the Prograf, wouldn't

they have realized his Prograf level was much too high 3 days ago?

They're doing blood tests every day. They also told us that he actually

tested positive for MRSA before he was released from the hospital

before, but somebody MISSED that fact. So, he's actually had the MRSA

for awhile. Needless to say I'm a little concerned right now. They

put him back on the synthetic antibiotic Zosyn for the MRSA. From the

medical professionals I've talked to the MRSA is very common in people

who have been hospitalized as long as he has, and the Zosyn should take

care of it. From now on we'll have to put on gowns and gloves when

we're visiting him, and I don't suggest anyone goes to see him right

now.Tom is a little down in the dumps. I think he feels like he

keeps gaining more issues rather than getting better. Please keep him

in your prayers.Kathy
