Guest guest
Kimber, This is 's mom. She is back in the hospital again. She is running a fever and her pancrease is acting up also. They also believe she has a staph infection. When she gets home we could use your list of programs to get her medicine. If you don't mind please send them. We gratefully appreciate it. Thank you for your help and kindness. Dory 's Mom Re: Update on , Can you see your doctor to get a new prescription? Or go to the ER to get one? There are programs out there for people who cannot afford their medications. I've got a list of them if you need it. Just let me know and I'll email it to you. I just don't like to see any of us in pain and I wish I could do more to help you. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Hi, This is 's Mom. She is back in the hospital at Tuomey Hospital, room 375, .She still having trouble with her pancrease and stays nausea, running a fever. She is really having a hard time. She is on TPN,fluids, and antibotics. They think she has a staph infection but the new blood culture done Saturday showed only yeast and no bacteria. They cannot figure out where the fever is coming from. She is down but still a fighter. Please pray for her. We will pray for Jackie and you too. Take care. Thinking of you both, Dory 's Mom Re: Update on Hey , I am so sorry you are doing so bad. I haven't had my computer for a while and I am trying to catch up. Let me know if you need anything. We may have to go to MUSC soon, Jackie is doing so bad...just seem to down quick. She was nauseas really bad for a while now, but now the pain has been really bad for a few days. I am going to pushing for a ctscan...I think something is wrong. Short version is the oncall doc told me yesterday that her ctscan in 2001 showed the pancreas shrinking...don't sound good to me. Would have been nice if they told me what that meant..I thought it meant inflammation going down but seems it might be something bad. Anyways, I know you are feeling bad so I will hush...but I have my computer fixed and I am here if ya need me...just write to my regular email address cuz I am behind on the posts and am trying to get caught up. I want to be able to talk with you if you need me. How is your mom? I am sure she is worried about you. Talk to ya soon,

The blood culture showed no bacteria, but it did show yeast in the blood. This was even more dangerous. I had to be on IV Diflucan to clear up the infection. I will keep in my prayers, and please wish her better health for me. Guest guest
> Hey everyone, > I wanted to let everyone know that I am out of the hospital again. This > time been out for two weeks. , Hopefully this time you'll get beyond the two week point and it will be a long, long time before you're at the hospital door again! was kind enough to let us all know you were in the hospital and you had a lot of people praying for your recovery. It must be nice to be home again. Just take it easy on yourself and don't overdo. Take care, and I hope you're feeling better soon. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
, it's so good to hear from you. I was worried something like this had happened since it had been so long since I had heard from you. You have my prayers that things continue to improve and that you don't have to go back anytime soon. I know how that pneumonia is, knocks you off your feet really quick. I had it in one lung last Dec., with a case of pancreatitis. Was in for about two weeks, got out Christmas Eve. Took me another 3 weeks before I was well enough to go back to work. You take it easy and let us know how your visit to ton goes. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
We have also used a reclinyer for cory who frequently has a rough time with coughing at night. It did work great. Another idea we used was a wedge, the kind they use for physical therapy. We would slide it under his matress. You can purchase these wedges at different angles. It served a dual purpose because when we use to do BD we use this for the down positions. I myself have slept countless night with Cory sleeping against me while I slept sitting up on the couch because it was the only way he would sleep. Guest guest
Dear , New meds sometimes take some adjustment, and I hope you soon get used to them. I didn't know that you had now developed diabetes, and that surely adds all kinds of new challenges. It sounds like a trip, a nice long distance visit with your brother in ND may be just the ticket to cheer you up. But, , dear........do ya really want to go to ND in the middle of the freeking, freezing, snowing, blowing winter? Brrrrrr! I mean, girl, it's gonna be cold, cold, cold and are you sure your thinned out southern blood can rise to the occasion? Just teasing! Sometimes when we are feeling down and out and frustrated with the day to day of handling this disease, a trip away to visit loved ones can make a big difference. Have a safe trip and a great visit. We'll be thinking of you. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative PAI, Intl. Hello everyone,I haven't talked much because I haven't been feeling well and getting use to the new pain meds. I now have diabetes but am able to control it with diet and excerise. I have also decided to go to ND to visit with my brother and see my niece and nephew.
