Guest guest Posted November 19, 2008 Report Share Posted November 19, 2008 Hi Now that I've had a few replies to my initial post I have spoken to my gastro dr via email a couple of times today and I'm going to have the liver biopsy. It can be done under the private health system so I will be doing that. I won't be on steroids but I will be on Azathioprine (also known as Azasan or Imuran). Obviously I will only be on the drugs if it is confirmed that I have AIH. Now all I have to do is try and block out the pain of the biopsy. Thanks to those that replied, I don't think I would have had it done otherwise. Now, I need someone to talk me into having a colonoscopy! Nah, don't worry about it, I will save that for next year.
