Guest guest
WELCOME FRAN, I am glad you found us. This is a friendly place with lots of good information. I am 57 but have had lupus since a teen. I didn’t get a proper dx until I was in my early 40’s. I have lupus, fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteoporosis, TMJ dysfunction, IBS, interstitial cystitis, and cognitive dysfunction (lupus fog). I am a cancer survivor and have had several brain seizures and a brain hemorrhage about 7 ½ yrs. ago. Lots of the lupies here have multiple illnesses, some of which (like mine) may have nothing to do with lupus. Feel free to express yourself anyway you like. I suffer from depression, do you? Depression is a chemical problem that people with lupus and fibromyalgia get. I take meds for it. The other thing that happens to us is lack of REM sleep. I take sleeping pills to help me. Again, Welcome, Hello Everyone, Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Fran, married to a great guy for close to 25 years. We have 2 cats who think they're human. They've trained us well -- over the past 15 years. Normally I would refrain telling my history with SLE because it can sound so melodramatic and unbelievable to those unfamiliar with the disease. Without a doubt I know all of you can relate to this and even more. In 1987 I was diagnosed with SLE (although in retrospect have had symptoms since my teens).
