Guest guest
Hi, My real name is Toni. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 6 years ago while living in Virginia. The problem was that only one doctor in the whole hospital accepted that as a diagnosis. The rest thought that I was just depressed and admitted me into the psych ward for a week. I cried the entire time because I knew that the pain wasn't in my head. When we moved back home to Alabama, it only got worse. Over the last few years, I have suffered through chest pains, a pain in my skin that I can't descibe to anyone, and several other things. But the worst of it is the muscle spasms. It hits me between my shoulder blades and the only way I can descibe it is if someone picks up a very large sledge hammer and swings it will all the force they can muster. I have gone to doctor after doctor, one hospital emergency room after the other. All they will do for me is dope me up on pain meds and send me home. The recovery time for theses 'attacks' is about a month. This past Sunday, I had another one. Normally, I'll have them about every six months. This is the second in as many months. Since there is no warning, I'm terrified to drive. I'm afraid I'll have one and have a wreck and hurt someone else. I just don't know what to do. Can someone please tell me if they also have the spasms and what to do about them? I have been dealing with all the rest on my own. But this is something I can't. Thanks for letting me ramble.
