Hi all,

I found a local Fibro support group and they have been wonderful.

Each person takes turns talking about what works for them (as well as

venting a little about the frustrations association with FMS/CFS). I

have recently read a book by Neal Barnard, MD called Foods That Fight

Pain. He discusses back pain, migraine pain, pain from diabetes,

etc. There is also a chapter for Fibro. I followed his

recommendations and you wouldn't believe how much they have helped

the pain! So along with fluoxetine and zanaflex, I am nearer

to " normal " than I was six months ago. I don't feel like playing

tennis, mind you. But I am able to work three half days a week as

long as I really rest the other two days, plus the weekend.

Dr. Barnard's book helped me identify foods I was eating that were

pain " triggers. " Believe it or not, bananas and apples are two of my

worst food triggers.

There is also anothe book I picked up at the library by

Teitlebaum, MD called From Fatigued to Fantastic. He's got a web

site also. Has anyone followed any of his recommendations??? Would

like to know if anyone has had difficulty due to yeast overgrowth? I

took a test in the back of Dr. Teitlebaum's book and it showed that

I'm evidently most likely to have this problem.

Thanks and good luck everyone. Sending you all lots of good

spiritual energy! That's never in short supply! LJ
