I've tried almost every kind of diet for my fms. The diet that makes my

symptoms worse is a high fiber, very low fat, low protein diets (e.g.

vegetarian)-last Sept, I went on this diet again and thought that there

would be an explosion in my intestines. I feel best on a high protein, high

fat, low fiber diet, high carbohydrate, no lactose...go figure? I've

figured that with my blood sugar so low I need both short and long acting

food sources, can't figure out why I feel better with lots of fats. I have

blood sugar that never goes above 80 (unless I eat 1/2 a pie after

thanksgiving dinner, then it shoots up to around 103), and my cholesterol is

also in the 100s. I also seem to NEED about 2 gallons of fluid a day. I've

spent all of my life on a diet due to being chunky-and have tried every type

of diet at one time or another, including water fasting for days.

, I get the feeling that my husband doesn't understand the pain at

all. Not even when i'm throwing up, I get the feeling that only other

people with FMS understand the pain. I can break bones and deal with the

pain just fine, but this fibro thing and the migraines, just about does me

in at times.
