Guest guest
Age range: 50-60 male/female: female What are the symptoms: All over pain, 24-7,muscle weakness, fatigue, restless legs syndrome. Has your illness been diagnosed? Yes Is there a time that you can remember when it started? As I looked back, after the birth of my second child. Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you found this to be a problem also? Yes. I tend to put exercise in my daily plans at the bottom of my list. And concentrate on my housecleaning, taking care of the kids, cooking, etc. Then I'm in too much pain or so tired I can barely move. (isn't that pitiful??!!) Are you on disability? Yes If you are any pointers for others trying to get on disability?? It is true that the majority of the time, the first two attempts they will deny it. After the second denial, get an attorney that works with Social Security disabilities. I had waited for almost two years for a court date. So, I finally contacted my Senator who had a local office where I lived. His office people worked with me and eventually it was approved without a court hearing!! What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm baths, medications and etc.? I take Darvocet and Ultram together four times a day routinely. Also, stretching exercises so many times a day helps me at times. If my pain is unbearable I use a TENS unit. That really helps. Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? I have sleep deprivation (had sleep study) I take Trazodone and for the restless legs I take Neurontin at bedtime. Do you have family that understands your illness? Sometimes. My little 7 year old can't seem to understand why I can't play more and go places more. __________________________________________________
