Guest guest Posted March 23, 2005 Report Share Posted March 23, 2005 Flonase is a glucocorticoid (steroidal in nature), so it's going to take some time for it to work on the nasal passages. It does help relieve inflammation and swelling in there, but it's SO expensive for one of those tiny little sprayer bottles. I'm going to order some as soon as I see a hole in my budget to do it with, and I will stay on it yr round, the way I used to. It works, but I've just not been able to afford it, however. For me, it takes the Flonase, plus Allegra, plus a decongestant (periodocally-only), to see a vast improvement. I have yr round allergies (oak, cedar, St. Augustine grass, molds, dust mite, plus industrial stuff and car exhaust, yuk!), so it's necessary for me to have something ALL the time. The crap in the air, water, and food in this society today does not make for a normal existence, even if a person had decent adrenal function, they won't have by the time they've reached a certain point in life, lol.
