Jeff, I also go to the U of M. I agree with you, they are great there! Who do you see? I see Drs. Hameed and Hassan. I like them both and they keep you well informed, and search til they find answers. Annie

Hello Don,I completed the first 3 days of my TX evaluation at the Fairview University of Minnesota Transplant Center last week. Everything was going fine – met with my new Gastro who I felt extremely comfortable with – he gave me a preliminary Meld of 11. But then I met with the TX surgeon he said they found a some type of growth or abnormality in my liver. He said it may be just a grouping of vessels or it could be a tumor. I have a MRI scheduled for February 20th so they can take a better look. I have been told if it is a tumor I would be listed right away with a MELD of 24. If the tumor is cancerous, as long as it has not spread beyond the Liver they can deal with it. If it is a normal abnormality they are not sure at this point if they would put me on the list until my Meld when higher. They will make that decision after the MRI Results. I was extremely impressed with the level

of Care I received at the Fairview University Transplant Center. They has an RN assigned to me each day to help with getting to and from appointments and to answer any questions throughout the day. My wife and I are completely at ease with going through the process at the U of M and would recommend the center to anyone. I will post the results of my MRI.JeffUC 1996, Colon removed 2003, PSC 2003
