Guest guest
hi guys. i haven't posted here a while, but the ladies at the texas thyroid group reccommended that i post my question here. after very low am cortisol blood test (9.4 on a 4-22 scale at 8:45am), inability to raise my armour dose beyond 75mg (1.25 grains), and weeks in a row of having a really hard time getting out of bed, and some other low adrenal symptoms, my doctor just started me on isocort and pregnenolone. i'm taking 4 iscort tabs with breakfast and lunch, and 10 drops of the pregnenolone (a supplement that is a precursor to adrenal hormones) with breakfast and lunch. i started on thursday (3/17)at lunchtime. i was wondering if anyone here could give me an idea of what to expect on either of these? so far, i haven't noticed much difference. i wanted a nap when i got home from work every day and went to bed as soon as i got home from work on friday and slept for 14 hours! yesterday, i couldnt go to work, and yesterday and today i woke up with my hip joints hurting SO badly. i haven't had that symptom since before i got on my armour! how long should it take to see improvement? i read tish's recent post on adrenal replacement and the concerns about becoming dependant. i'm not taking this without caution, and that's why i wanted to get some more information. what should i be looking out for? thanks so much in advance. rachel.
