Guest guest
to Barby! (and ) 11/29/07 From the archives of 2007: From: Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2007 10:44 AM Subject: headed for transplant! We just received the call to come to the hospital - they might have a liver for me. I'm packed and making final preparations - showering, not eating. etc. Please pray for the surgeon that he has wisdom and skilled hands as he performs the surgery, for the other staff in the OR that they would be attentive, for my family as they wait (and wait) to know the outcome and also for me for extra peace and strength. Please also pray there are no complications which would slow recovery. I'm scheduled to go into surgery at 3pm and be done by midnight (11-27-07). We will be or I should say will be updating my caring bridge site. Here is the website for you to visit. I think once you visit it will automatically send you an email when it has been updated. Just type in my name - Barbaranordgren - to get to my page. Type it as all one word. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/barbaranordgren Thanks for caring and for your prayers. Oh, just a reminder - I can't have any live plants or flowers in my room due to risk of infection from bacteria or fungus. This is short term but right after surgery the nurses station gets graced with beautiful arrangements. a small price to pay for getting my health back. Love you all, Barby and, from her Caringbridge site: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2007 05:26 AM, CST Barby has just gone under anesthesia & the surgery is a go. It is anticipated that it will take between 6 & 8 hours to complete the surgery. Noon +/- she should be out.
