Guest guest
Well as I said I have been gone for 3 weeks and didn't have time to let you all know what was happening. My daughter's computer isn't working and is in the shop so I had no way of letting anyone know what was going on. On Aug. 24th, 5 weeks early, little Faith decided she wanted to enter the world. Jil called from VA at 2 saying she had passed some clots and went to the Naval hospital, she was 2 cm dilated. When they checked her in two hours she was 4 so they decided she would have the baby that day by c-section, due to her being breech. They tried to wait for me to get there but I had the fllight from hell......I caught the plane in Pitts.PA and was to have a connectng flight in Pilly, well there was a severe storm and we circled over stown PA for 2 hours and then tried to land, only to have the piolet overrun the landing strip and we missed our chance to land so headed back up into storm clouds ( which rocked us something terrible). We circled for a while but there were so many planes ahead of us and we were running out of fuel so had to go to Baltimore MD to refuel, and wait for the go ahead to take off, which was another 1 1/2 hours. We flew back to Philly and found out that no flights left after 10pm,,,of course then it was after that. So the next flight to VA was at 8 am the next day. I had to sit in a chair in the lobby all night, caught the flight and got to VA at 9:30 the next day. The baby was delivered at 10:30 the night before, so I missed it..........but I told God as long as both of them were healthy it was a trade off. The baby weighed 6 lb. 7 oz. and was 18 1/2 " , not bafor a preterm baby. But she lost 17% of her body weight and went down to 5-11 so they kept her 2 extra days. But she is 3 weeks old old now and 7 pounds and a doll. I stayed because Jill's incision opened and I had to packed her twice a day. SHe is doing better and can handle the little spot that is still open......so that is my story!!! What a tale to tell some day. Just so you don't all think I feel off the face of the earth, haha......I didn't. Mom is in the Nursing home and not well at all, she is confused and has lost weight. Butch had 2 stents put in his heart while I was down there also. It never quits, does it? But for the ost part things are ok. I missed my doctors appt. and will have to reschedule. Hope you all are doing ok. It's nice to be back.
