Hey everyone,

I felt good about something that happened today so I thought I would share. Cat's cousin's girlfriend called today and she is in training to be a nurse. We started talking about everyone in the family's health and we got around to talking about my lupus. She mentioned that she only had one patient that she had ever treated with lupus and didn't know much about it. So she started asking me questions and I gave her answers, most of them from reading on here. We talked about lupus lesions (which I have) and that there are 3 different kinds, we talked about antibodies, fevers, pain, swelling, remissions, little downhill slides and adjusting to what your body can do now, depression, organ damage, and fatigue.

She went away a lot more informed so maybe when she runs across another lupus patient they will have a good experience with a nurse. Something we all would like to happen. So thanks for all the information you all put out there, today it was put to good use!
