Now on fever blisters I too get these constantly...especially on the inside of my lips and cheeks...they are horrible....I can barely eat at times..I just gargle with warm salt water and they usually go away within a day or so, but like I said its a reoccuring thing for me...I also take Lysine to help with my mouth sores.... You're not alone and I'm think'n about ya... Allicia
Guest guest
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia last November. I seem to have all of the usual complaints. In fact my Rheumatologist said i was a walking poster child for Fibro. The thing that bothers me most though is something i don't usually see anyone else complaining of and that is the fevers that i get. Whenever my symptoms flare up, I can usually tell it is coming because the first thing I feel is a mild fever coming on. I feel like I am getting the flu or something and have a fever, usually no more than a degree or two above normal, just enough to make me feel like crap. Then I get the usual pains and also get a lot of mouth sores, to the point that sometimes I can barely stand to speak because it hurts so much. Am I unusual in this or are both of these problems that everyone else is having also? I feel like a mutant sometimes. Am I unusual in this or are both > of these problems that everyone else is having also? I frequently have mouth sores. I talked to my doctor about them who first suggested stress or nutrition, but finally gave me some prescription medicine for them. It tastes nasty and you're suppose to apply it before bed which doesn't help during the day. I usually use a lanicane medicine from the store for mouth sores. I've heard taking 1000 mg of folic acid, but can't find it in that dose. I take 800 mg which I noticed does help to cut down on the level of pain. I've also heard rinsing your mouth out with an anti acid like Malox will work, but think that tastes nasty too, so haven't tried it.
