Guest guest
Hi Debmeter!!! YES!! YES!! YES!!! Take control!! Take charge!! Take responsibility!! You can do it! If you take care of yourself, you know it will get done!! I have not tried water aerobics, but I heard it's really really beneficial. I have it on my schedule, but then, my legs are never shaved (sorryguys!!!) because I am too tired. So I will get my legs done Monday :-) I attended a two day conference for women in leadership. That was so motivating! I also have so many new resources. First I bought a book at Bath and Body Works. They have a great sale going on right now. A lot of buy one get one free, gift sets half off. They do have a great line of Aromatherapy lotions and pulse point gel, oil. Great fragances!! Anyway, the book is called something with Calm. I can't remember the exact title :-) Reaching calm, being calm, the book of calm. i think that's it. I has a bunch of different tips in it. I did the yoga exercise in there. It is really simple, nice and flowing, and I felt it the next day!! I also read about half of the stress management handbook, and so far I feel that I didn't gain much, but I will finish it anyway!! maybe it will get better. :-) Last weekend I bought Rollerskates, the 4 wheelers from Sketcher. YES the teeny-looking skates with the glitter light blue wheels. I have Rollerblades, but I was never good with them. I used to Rollerskate a lot up until I was 20 or so. So I took my Lab mix on a leash rollerskating. He is not that well trained, YET. It went better than I thought!! HE is the one who ran into somebody's rose bush and ALL the leaves fell off. how terrible!! I was only skating for 15 minutes or so, but I wasn't sore after it, or the next day at all!!! I finally found something fun, that makes me tired, works on my endurance, and it doesn't kill me (no matter how much my dog tried lol) I don't think that I am physically any better yet, but mentally I am!!! My outlook is so positive!! All these things to try that are good for me!! Oh, yeah, my car...... I had to get the transmission re-build. Big bucks :-( Then, yesterday, I went downtown Denver for my seminar, and on the way back the car was running really bad. I stopped and it was leaking fluid. Of course transmission fluid. I called the mechanic, and he told me to try and drive it to the shop. So there was I in rush hour, not on the highway, just busy streets, going 30, with squeeling tires, because it was skipping gears. So today I got it back form the shop, again. Maybe it's time I invest in a reliable car!! Well, I better go to bed, I have done my bed routine of washing my face early, and then I will read my stress book, and play a game on my game boy. Tomorrow I have all day testing at my neuro psych. So I'll be tired tomorrow!! Take care everybody, Debmeter, get you butt to the pool!!!! It will be good!! :-) In a message dated 6/20/2002 10:44:13 PM Mountain Daylight Time, dpmonk@... writes: > > > > Hi , > > Thanks so much for the advise....and thanks to Darcy and Char too!!! > Well, you've created a maniac...tomorrow I'M taking control of my > care.
