Well, I live in Middle TN, we don't have any bears in our region. I

am sorta glad, I would probably have a heart attack if I was in my

back yard and confronted one. lol.

But we have had this doe and fawn grazing in our field beside us all

summer long. We watched as the fawn grew up and now has just about

lost all the spots. I can sit on my front porch swing in the evening,

just before dark, and watch them graze. The mother will often look up

and just stare at me, and if I'm still, she'll just start eating

again. I find it soooo relaxing. We also have squirrels that run

havoc all over the place. They are quite amusing. I believe I'm going

to put out some nuts for them this winter though. My husband and one

of my sons are really really into hunting. But I've already told them

that the squirrels and deer in our yard are totally out of bounds.

They will have to go back in the woods to do their stuff. We live on

30 acres attached to my cousin's 30 acres and Dad and mom have 52

acres right down the street. We live in a quickly growing yet small

community. I've always lived here and know just about everyone, and

lots and lots of kin folk, which made it quite hard in my dating

years...hee hee, my sisters and I would go to mom, " Mom, are we kin

to the ____Browns____? " Whatever the last name might have been? HEE

HEE

Our biggest problem since we've lived in the house we're in now,

(Since Nov. last year) has been coyotes and skunks. A family friend

has cows on this land and two of his cows are now missing tails due

to the coyotes and we have had to shoot one since he was in our

backyard at noon time one Saturday, all mangy and not scared at all

of humans. THAT was scary. I still don't let the children go outside

at night by themselves. AND the skunks. pewwwwweeee.LOL

We have coyotes here, but they don't bother anyone. I would love to see them

re-introduce wolves here as well, but it does not seem as though that is

going to happen in the near future, as the only thing that they are

re-introducing are more houses in the past decade :)
