Guest guest
Wow, did that bring back the memories. I was dx with UC for 16 years then developed dysplasia, had jpouch surgery....had just been dx with PSC but without symptoms just 1 year before jpouch surgery. 1 year to the day of the jpouch surgery, I had a tumor in my spine removed. It was in l4 - l5 area, and they had to cut 4 inches of nerves out, and had to scrape to get the tumor out. It had started to affect me physically. I would go to get up and start to take a step, but my leg wasn't following and 'splatt', to the floor I would go. I kept thinking it was just siatic and was visiting a chiropractor. I saw her for 8 months, and then one day when she was massaging my back, just before another manipulation I stoped her and said, " This is crazy....this hurts and it hurts more afterwards...this isn't working. " She then scheduled me for an MRI and found the tumor. Within 2 weeks I was in surgery. It was a very long recovery. So let's see, UC, dysplasia/cancer, removal of colon, PSC, AND tumor in the spine.......ok, I was 40 when I had the spine surgery, 41 when I had the colon surgery....was 40 when dx with PSC, symptoms started when I was 43...and at 49 was listed for transplant....and will be turning 52 in April.> > > ------------------------------------ > >
