Guest guest
For those people who are having trouble getting their Armour prescriptions filled: Could you authorize the presciption be filled with a generic version of Armour? I think Time Cap Labs would be the generic version. It's been my presciption experience that the generic version of anything can be substituted without a new presciption, as long as the doctor hasn't precluded the use of a generic on the prescription form. Time Cap Labs seems to be a less preferred alternative on this group, but since it is a USP approved product, I don't think the potency can differ that much. If you think it's weaker, just take a little more. It sure beats the alternative of not having any dessicated thyroid product. I don't believe they have any supply availability problems either, and I've never had any problem finding it at a pharmacy. I know my mail-order pharmacy, Medco Health (formerly Merck-Medco), can't get Armour in 1/4 grain dosages now, so I would agree that Armour still seems to be having supply problems.
