Guest guest
Hi Stacey and Cheyenne and all… I also paid 400.00 for orthotics…it was an interesting process because I was also prescribed a very interesting type of running show…..well I put out 200.00 in running shoes also….then I get told that the orthotics that were made would not be helping me as the running shoes were made crooked…. well I pondered crooked running shoes….i pondered what the person who made the orthotics said….it confused me….but my knees and hips ankles and feet still hurt…it is hard to say if they would hurt more without them…. but in canada a podiatrist has four years of foot training….so they might truly be able to give you some insight…there are many different types of orthotics made from different companies with different components…if you are going to put out the money I guess make sure you are getting your money’s worth…hahah I do have to laff that my shoes truly were made crooked…I was reimbursed by the company…but walking crooked for a year I don’t think helped me…. my husband swears by his but he has a stress fracture in his foot…his hips don’t bother him… I hope this does not add to the confusion of your decision making process….but I guess just gather more information.. just a little blurb here…the article is at http://www.podiatrychannel.com/aPodiatrist.shtml Podiatrists are medical specialists of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. A podiatrist holds a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) degree. To receive this 4-year degree, a person must attend one of seven podiatric medical schools in the United States. These schools offer courses similar to those at allopathic schools where graduates earn medical degrees to become a medical doctor (M.D.). Sincerely Re: Newbie:*) ???Podiatrist for hip pain???
