Guest guest
Hellow Everyone, Welcome to all the new members who joined over the weekend. It's nice to have you here. I think this is the most wonderful support group I've ever come across. I hope being here helps you as much as it has helped me. Someone asked about whether or not our fibro symptoms started before or after taking anti-depressants. Mine definitely started before, since I had never taken an antidepressant until 3 weeks ago, and I've had my fibro for over 10 years. Well, I had a wonderful, totally pain-free 3 day weekend! It was fabulous! This, I thought to myself, is what normal people must feel like. I made reasonably long drives without being in excruciating hip pain, I didn't have any migraine intensity headaches, my shoulder pain and back pain was pretty mild, my knee pain was mild, and I didn't have to take any of my pain killers. See, my doctor had me stop in for an injection on Friday. Boy, did it work. The only problem (you knew there had to be a problem, didn't you?) is that the injection was steroids. Finally, something that really and truly helped, and I can't take it long term. Well, I could, but I don't like to think about the results.... In any case, I had 3 wonderful days. I had forgotten what it was like to feel like that. I felt so good I went to a family barbeque on Monday. I left after a few hours, due to the fact that I'm no longer used to socializing with large groups of people. It's exhausting! I was happy to get home to my quiet apartment and my wonderful cats. I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday weekend too. Take care,
