Guest guest
Hi Lori, I agree: a miracle would be nice! Seeing all the progress being made in various fields that might correlate to, or even cause, further advances in liver research get me very excited. And being in this rather precarious position of having PSC makes me very empathetic to people suffering from all sorts of stuff--we can't forget there are many people hurting besides ourselves. If I misread the source, my apologies, but I don't see anything to indicate on that webpage that the list given is all that's being considered: under " Benefits of Stem Cells to Human Patients " are the two categories--under " adult stem cells " there are many diseases listed, and under " Embryonic Stem Cells " , it simply says " NONE " . Here's the site I'm looking at: http://www.stemcellresearch.org/facts/treatments.htm This seems to be misleading, at best. Adult stems are great, but embryonics have been used and the source makes it " look " like they're worthless. I recently heard they are using embryonics on epileptics. But hopefully they'll just be growing livers in vats with that rejuvenating powder that was posted in that you-tube video last week. > > Hi , > > The website did not say there were no benefits with using a human embryo's but said there were none in the list of diseases shown. Maybe you can find some in the list that have had benefits with embryonic cells. I would like to be aware of some on live people. I just typed in google (liver disease & stem cells) to get those links. > > Yes, it is a personal conviction of mine based upon my knowledge of the bible (my faith) but that was not why I said what I said, but glad you brought it up. Yes, I do think many are misinformed but some are informed and know what they are doing. I guess it depends upon where you get your information from. It would seem a little less work to use adult stem cells already existing instead of creating a life first and taking what you need from it. You and I may have different convictions and rely on different information but we both want to see a miracle! > > I am very excited to see what research comes next! I can't imagine how much more what they will know in just 10 years. > > Lori A. > > " Aggressively Pursuing Solutions To Your Real Estate Needs!
