Guest guest
Well I got a phone call this morning telling me not to come to the hospital. Apparently he has some sort of contagious bacteria in his gut. Apparently we all have it but normally the good bacteria keeps it in check. When someone's been on antibiotics long term, it kills off the good bacteria, allowing the bad to grow. It causes really high fever and BAD diarrhea. He told the doctors that I am pregnant and they told him to tell me to stay away, at least for today. So I am supposed to be cleaning and doing laundry. Anyway they're supposed to do another culture today and get him started on an oral antibiotic which will kill this bad bacteria. It'll take about 24 hours to get the results of the culture back. If there's nothing bad in it, they will likely send him home in a few days with an oral antibiotic.
