Guest guest
Bad news first: A couple days ago, I suddenly got severe URQ pain, radiating into my shoulder. It was bad enough that I was rolling around on the floor for a while! After it started to subside a bit, I got myself together and called Vanderbilt. They said I should see my PCP and get labs run. Well, my family doctor got me in really quick, and I did get the labs run... by then the pain was mostly gone, but I got a call back from them yesterday to say that I had elevated white count and my liver function tests were elevated. I have no idea what it might be, and I'm waiting to hear from Vanderbilt what they want me to do. Right now I feel fine, and don't have any " liverish " symptoms so hopefully whatever it is has gone away! I did have another episode very similar to this, although not as bad about a year ago, and that didn't seem to do any permanent damage, but it's still worrying to have high LFTs after transplant! Good News: I had a colonoscopy yesterday, and got a very good report. No sign of colitis anywhere in my colon so the VSL#3 must be doing it's job! I knew I'd been feeling pretty good, but it's nice to have it officially confirmed. I should hear back from Vanderbilt today, so I'll keep updating on what they say! athan
