Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have a question for anybody (or everybody) lol! I sometimes have trouble swallowing. I don't choke per se, but rather, it gets 'clogged' halfway down my esophagus (sp) and it's very painful. You can breathe, but the pain in your chest is tremendous. I have had some horrible tests done because of this and according to those, the peristalis muscles that work to move your food down when you swallow are only functioning at 10% (if I " m remembering that correctly). Now this doesn't happen often, but often enough to be a pain. Nobody knows why this is happening, but my guess is, it's tied to the Fibro. So, I want to know if anyone else has this too? My sis has Fibro also and she has this problem. Anyone else? Oh and it seems that stress while eating will trigger one of these awful attacks. They last about 2-5 long, long, minutes. Sometimes my chest is sore afterwards. Thanks for sharing anything. Donna
