I'm sorry P.T. is taking it's toll on you. It's good on one hand and then

the other it's a real pain. When I went to P.T. after I was diagnosed my doctor

wanted me to do aqua therapy. I wasn't too thrilled with it. The pool was nice

and warm. It was a 5' pool, but I am only 4'11 " . I had to stand on my tip-toes

to do anything. My favorite part of the P.T. was the ultrasound, moist therapy

and the deep tissue work. I really did not like some of the exercises they

physical therapist gave me on some of those machines. They were brutal. Just

know that I'm thinking about you!

Dear ,

Thank you for the kind words and support! I missed Tuesday's

PT, and I have one tomorrow which I am dreading! But you gave me an

idea: even though this PT is for my neck fusions, I wonder if we

couldn't add water therapy. My therapist is awesome; she worries

about my condition all the time. Perhaps she can get authorization

from my Neurologist.

I had to giggle...sorry...my Grandmother was 4'11 " too! We loved

knowing we out-grew her by 11 or 12 yrs old!

Dear ,

I want to thank you for your replys, as I received some good

feedback that I used today at PT. After examining me, I shared with

my therapist about the different approaches you mentioned. So today

she used ultrasound, heat, and electrical therapies (all at

once...lovely!), and my PT was much more gentler and productive.

Thanks,

P.S. This just goes to show us all how valuable and supportive

this group is.

was the only problem I had with it...well, besides the water depth.

You should ask your doctor about the aqua therapy. It does help range

of motion which is why I started the therapy to begin with. My neck

muscles were so tight that I couldn't even look over my shoulders.

Well, I will think about you as you go back to therapy. Take care!

Dear ,

Thanks for your continuing good thoughts! I'm not flaring now from

the treatment, and as such, we're really making some headway in my

neck treatments!
