Guest guest
Janie, Her's another " Idiot statement made by Docs " you may want to consider. When I was first trying to figure out what was wrong with me I finally got my former Doc (a DO) to test my thyroid. Tests came back and he said " Well, your TSH is a little high at 7.7 but your T3 and T4 are in range so it's not your thyroid. " HUH? Then he tried to push antidepressants at me. I stormed out of the office and sent him a " nice " letter after a Rheumatologist finally tested my antibodies and they were high. I'll never forgive the DO as I wonder how much misery I could have avoided if I'd been dx'd sooner. And to think I was seeing him because I thought he'd be more openminded!
