First of all, GET BETTER SOON.

I wanted to add my comments about body temperature. After reading your post, I

decided to take my own temp. It registered 96.7. I live in the Houston, Texas

area where it has been 82 F for the past couple of days and I am forever feeling

" chilly " . My hep (who I love dearly) has told me that I will always be on the

low side of 98.5 and not to worry too much about it.

It sounds like your doctor needs a stern lecture on what is considered normal

for us PSCers. Can you possibly find another one who has better bedside

manners? I have had my fair share of oddball docs in the past 4 years and I

didn't hesitate in giving the boot to all of the other heps prior to this one.

Prayers for healing,

Deb

Hi, all!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'm so glad to know I'm not insane...and a

little saddened to realize that my Mayo Clinic PSC doc is! I am thinking about

asking for another doctor. It seems to me that this guy is just failing to

grasp the basics of PSC and he is completely unwilling to listen to anything he

doesn't already perceive to be the case. What's almost as bad is that he has

almost no bedside manner and doesn't even look at you while he/you talk. It's

all a bit much. I need a good scientist, but a human one who is willing to

consider they don't know it all would help, too!

Anyhow, thank you all for your comfort, compassion and outrage! Oh, and

Sheller, I'm trying hard to convince them to make me well. So far, they're

stubbornly insisting there's no cure for PSC. Crazy, huh? I mean clearly we

need the Primary Sandi/Sheller Cure! :)
