I had one put in in November 2006. Every six months I have an ultrasound done. Recenlty I though I was going to need a "roto-rooter" but when the raidalogist put the camera in he determined that I didn't need anything done. I will say this, My quality of life improved 100% after I received it. All my elevated liver counts droped drasitcally, with only the ALT being slightly elevated. I hope I have been helpful.
