Guest guest
Hello all! I'm a new member. I just started on Armour this week after being on Levoxyl for almost 20 years (RAI for graves). I'm pretty sure I have been slightly HypoT the entire time on Levoxyl. I have " normal " TSH (2.04) but I did my own FT3/FT4 tests and came back under the range on FT3, FT4 was towards the top. So I'm thinking that I don't convert T4 properly. Anyway, my question is this. I know that arthritis and joint problems can be a symptom of HypoT. I'm only 46 years old and I have arthritis (I assume it is) in my feet, toes, hands, knees and hips. I'm wondering if anyone else who was hypoT and then got treated properly lost that nasty joint pain? I guess I'm just hoping that it hasn't gone on too long and perhaps this can be reversed somehow. Or at least slowed down! Another question, I've been dieting for 2 years and can't lose weight even on low calories. Will my calorie burning machine ever return to normal, or am I doomed to having the metabolism of a three-toed sloth for eternity? Thanks for any insight you can provide!
