Guest guest
Hi Everybody, Age range: 29 years old Male/female: female What are the symptoms? anxiety, tingles down throughout my legs and arms, can't sleep, dizziness (which drives me crazy), different muscle pain each day, pretty much all over, joint pain (especially in the elbows, shoulders and knees), stiffness most of the time, TMJ, super senitive to everything (especially light, need to have a lot of light, can't stand dimmed lighting gives me headaches)and ALWAYS tired, never have enough energy..... Has you illness been diagnosed? Yes, it's was diagnosed last September 2001 How long did you suffer before you got help? Started having sleeping problems and muscle pain in January 2001 Is there a time that you can remember when it started? January 2001 Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you found this to be a problem also? Definitely, I have found that if I lose 20lbs I physically feel so much better, so now I'm back on the quest to lose it...I hate exercising so I really have to watch what I eat... Are you on disability? It just depends on the day, some days I just don't feel like doing anything, but I have a 3 & 4 year old and I just bit my lip and deal with the pain because I know they need me.... What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm baths, medications etc.? I did take about 3 different medications (Klonapin, Zan (sp) and something else) but I just through them all aways and went cold turkey. Which was the hardest 2 weeks of my life going through withdrawals! But I came out feeling better than I did better all of the meds. Stretching each morning and night, depressuring my trigger points each day, and drinking 64 oz of water each day and try to lose weight.... Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? I used to only sleep when I took Klonapin at night but know I take melatonin and it works great. There's usually one day out of the month that I can't sleep but at least I'm not taking a strong drug anymore, just an herb... Do you have family that understands your illness? My husband is absolutely wonderful, he depressurizes me each night, massages my back, shoulders and neck each day. He helps me anytime and all of the time. I couldn't have asked for a more sympathic husband. He did a ton of research for me on the internet regarding Fibromyalgia and helps education both of us.... Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS or Fibro, have you? No, but I'd be interested to hear if anybody else has.... What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you the most? My Physical Therapist is the one who diagnosed me, she's awesome. She taught me how to depressurize my trigger points to make my muscles feel so much better.... Wow, if you made it this far. Lots of questions. I'd love to hear if any of you have found certain foods cause problems or not. I haven't thought about that yet!
