Guest guest
This one is farily new to me. But, thyroid controlls the metabolic rate and the metabolic rate controls how much oxygen the body needs and uses. The brain adjusts breathing to get the amount oxygen levels in the blood it needs. Like pulse, this one can be less accurate, I imagine. If you have large lung capacity and breath more deeply naturally, then the rate will be slower. I you have anemia or some other health condition that reduces oxygen levels in the blood, breathing can be faster. There are probably many conditions that might affect breathing rates. So, this is one of those general things that you add to pulse, temps, energy levels, symptoms, and reflex speed to help create a general idea of your thyroid function.
