>>I was on Potassium sparing diuretics

so my guess is the imbalance started there.<<

Me too - potassium-sparing diuretics,

yet I ended up with a postassium deficienc;

go figure. (But with me, I also have the

smashed master gland/pituitary, so the

" control room " is out of order, which controls

thyroid & sugars & basically all of metabolism,

so things get very whacky to put it mildly.)

Today I have followup appt. with the doc who

I'm trying to use in the interim (til Dr. Springer

my TopDoc gets her license reinstated!) .....

but this local dr. really didn't know what to make

of me last time and asked me if i was just traveling

all over to find someone to give me this T3 medicine

(ARMOUR)--which was far too simplistic in my case

with panhypopit, needing so many replacements!...

but was part of it as I can't convert T4 to T3

and Cytomel gives me palpitations but there are

so few doctors willing to prescribe the

old-fashioned " not-up-to-STANDARD-of-care " natural

dessicated thyroid! The way she said it made me

feel like some sort of drug-addict willing to travel

around to get what I 'had' to have ...rather than a

respected part of the health team as Dr. Springer made

me feel! So I don't know if I can work with this

person, but we'll see. I hope it goes well! ~ritzy

it was fine. I was on Potassium sparing diuretics so my guess is the

imbalance started there.
