Guest guest
Dear Tim, I am sorry I didn't respond earlier but your email for some reason went into my spam. Sometimes emails from the PSC group end up there and I can't seem to stop it yet. I was wondering why I hadn't heard from you and now I know. Thank you very much for your response. I have been updating my Dad and family as to Bob and his condition. It is hard for me to share with my Dad what is going on because I don't want him to worry, but it is important that he knows. He is doing so well and can only thank God for His help. We are all hoping and praying that the perfect liver will be found for Bob and soon. Please tell Bob that my Dad asks about him and said he is praying for him earnestly. I am so blessed to be part of such a great family. Thanks for your comments regarding the Falk family. My Dad is a great guy!!! My Dad and I am wondering why this has happened to him since he has received a new liver. I know he has other problems with his kidney as you have mentioned in emails, is that due to his liver failing or is that a separate issue? Or is due to his PSC returning. Please continue to update us and thank you again for reaching out to Bob and his family. I will write a letter to my great Aunt Ina Falk and let her know what you are doing to help, she will be so happy. Hope to hear back from you soon with some news. Lori A. That's amazing about your Dad and Bob. I am on the gene study up at Mayo. It's to bad Bob and your Dad were not part of it. There are two wonderful women that I met at the two Denver conferences that are identical twins. Both had PSC and one had already been transplanted. I think they are part of a broader gene study. It breaks my heart to know Bob is in such a bad way. I got to know him while living in Omaha. He had the opportunity to stay at our home a couple of times and we even got to play a little golf together. I met him at the hospital when he arrived for his first transplant and watched him go through that ordeal. While visiting with him on one occasion, his Mom had a stroke and I was wheeling Bob to the emergency room to watch his Mom get taken care of. I've gotten to know Bob and his Mom pretty well and I think the world of them. I've met two of his son's and his brother and a few cousins from Lincoln Nebraska. If your Dad is anything like the Falk's I met, he surely is a wonderful guy. I hope he is doing well.C2 Hope is a wonderful antidote to fear. I still have a great deal of hope for Bob and his fight for survival. Bob is a true hero to me. Stoic, gentle and kind, he takes what difficulties he is given with a courage I can only hope to have when and if the transplant day comes for me. If I hear anything further, I will pass it along.
