Guest guest
To all PSC Support and Partners, As many of you know and to those new to PSC Support and PSC Partners, we have always maintained information on ways to raise money through the recycling of ink jet cartridges and cell phones. If you go to www.pscpartners.org, you can access our fundraising site where you will see a section on recycling. We have noted two companies that you can contact for shipping labels after you collect enough items found on their lists of qualifying ink jets and cell phones. The quantities required are high and can also be found in this information. I want to be honest with you all and say that there is little to no interest in this effort. And I understand why. Collecting 20 to 30 ink jet cartridges and then checking them against a list to see if they qualify is not easy. When most of what you collect doesn't qualify, that's just frustrating and dealing with PSC is frustrating enough. My inclination was to stop the recycling project all together but we just got a call from a small business out in NE Ohio that deals with only cell phones. This gentleman requires about a dozen phones to be collected before sending off a shipping label. That's reasonable. The best part is you don't have to worry about what you send him. We will get money for any and all cell phones, pda's and blackberry's. Cell phones are clean with no messy ink. My daughter has had two phones replaced this year. One ended up being dropped in the toilet and I think the other one exploded due to all the texting. Only kidding, but it did break. So I have two phones that I can send in. I just need 10 more. Any house with a teenage girl has to have a couple hanging around. My point is this, please try to collect a dozen and then contact Mr. Jeramy Graber at or www.jgraber71@.... He will send you a label for shipping so there is no cost to you. Just make sure you include a note with your package that let's Mr. Graber know the proceeds go to PSC Partners. As we find it harder and harder to come up with money to support a cure, here is an EASY way to generate revenue for PSC Partners while also helping to keep our country green. For those of you planning to attend this years conference, I will gladly collect your old cell phones if you bring them with you to Chicago.
