Guest guest
I can't say I have heard that depression causes Fibro, but I have heard that Fibro cause depression. My doctor treats me with anti-depressants not for the depression as for the sleep quality. Anti-depressants are suppose to help you sleep. From everything I have heard, sleep or I should say lack of deep sleep is the main cause of Fibro. I really think I would feel over 50% better if I would get level 4 sleep. Your body heals itself at this level and if you never get there, your body never heals. It is like re-injuring the same thing everyday. If they could only figure out how to get all of us to sleep better, I think that would makes us all much better. Fibro Caused by Depression Irene writes: Well, that takes the cake. Guest guest
My nerurologist told me that Fibro is primaly a sleep disorder like you said. I had a sleep study done and it said I only get 3% of the stage 3 and 4 sleep I need. The nerurologist said that all my problems (memory problems, lack of concentration, clumsiness, fatigue, muscle pains) all stem from accumleted sleep debt. He says a cpap machine should correct his. The pulmonologist that ordered the sleep study told he did not think my insurance would pay for a cpap because my sleep apnea was not " bad " enough. My o2 sats fall to 88% which he said wasn't that bad. My pcp and nerulogoist both say that is still very low. A nurse friends of mine said it should be at 95% or higher. Anyway thank God Cigna auth'd the cpap so now it's just a matter of waiting to get the 2nd sleep study with the cpap and getting the machine. I have high hopes for it. The neruologist said that if the cpap doesn't help me then he will put me on provigil. which is funny since I was going to ask him about provigil because I had heard about it on here but he brought it up first. I LOVE my neruologist. Robin > I can't say I have heard that depression causes Fibro, but I have heard that > Fibro cause depression.
