I am upping my Armour on my own, without Docs knowledge/approval. He

wants to wait 8 weeks between each increase... and I dont. So, I

have an appointment early next week. Can anyone refresh my memory

about the fact that you cant over-do Armour because your body only

uses what it needs? I recall bits about the info, but not enough

to " arm " myslef. He's a pretty open doc, but I dont know how he'll

react to my stepping right on his toes.

Doc had me on 120mg (2 grains) (after stopping 150mg synthroid which

never seemed enough anyway) Ive upped it to about 165mg, about 2 3/4

grains. and Id like to up it to 3 before my appt. Ive had RAI about

20 years ago, so I should have about NONE of my own natural hormone.

Im thinking 3 1/2 grains might be a good goal to try.... but I

dont like waiting so long for bogus tests results.

Also,Im breaking 30mg tablets in half, how long until I can add the

other half to make it three grains? Ive been doing this new 1/2 pill

for only about 4 days. Ive been on the additional 30 mg for about

two weeks. Does this make sense? also, this appt is really for

retest of my blood work from originally starting Armour. He is

thinking we will be testing me at the 120 mg /2 grain dose. Its been

almost 8 weeks since he started me on armour from synthroid. I am

upping due to extreme fatigue, constant weight gain, not sleepng

right, my legs ache like a bugger, very bad brain fog, just cant get

it together and basically the walking dead. This post is too

long, I am sorry. I cant seem to explain myself in less than 200

words anymore...
