Donna,

Sorry about confusing North and South. I did warn you that directions was

not my forte.

We have another Chapel Hiller, besides soon-to-be , there's an Ellen

too. I know that there is a Gail from here as well. Is Frances R. from here

too? She had MGB quite a while ago. It would be fun to get together, pass

on hints and ideas etc.

in C.H.

I guess you acquire a taste for Tums, during my pregnancy I had a bottle in

may car, a bottle (not the little roll either!!!) in my purse, and a bottle

in the bathroom and kitchen inside the house . .I love those little

things!!!!! Try the mixed fruity flavoired ones, not that they taste in any

way like fruit, but they are not bad at all! instant relief!!! ; )

It's only about a 2 1/2 HR drive. But my Dr. thinks I should have the surgery

locally in case of any major complications.

IM willing to go speak to this Dr. I have an appointment July 19th. I also

have a friend that had an open surgery (she was around 500lbs and has lost

300lbs). I don't want open surgery, but at this point I will take what I can

get.

There are several people from the Wilmington area who have had the surgery

under Dr R. One is (I believe her last name is Askew). I think she

lives in sville Beach. You can go to Dr R's site and search by

location for former patients. They might be helpful in telling you if they

had complications and if so how they handled it (being 2 1/2 hours from

Durham).

Just a suggestion. Good luck with your July 19th appt.
