Guest guest
Wow! I did not realize that before. (Sounds dumb, eh?) Well, I can see now why the cortisone is starting to help, and I think that would explain why I sometimes feel sort of a little drugged when I take it. It is probably such a big rush for a body that has no cortisol reserve left. But...I AM getting better! Finally, it's gradually starting! Thanks! When they're already " on the edge " , they will use up everything they've got (weak) with just one occurrence of some major proportion, i.e., panic attack, job loss, bad marriage, sorrow, constant worry, or even a major worry stressor for just one day. Strong adrenals have more in reserve, but even they will use it up, if the stress keeps on going. With your history, I wouldn't be very surprised if you have any cortisol in reserve at all. So, yes, just ONE panic attack could do it for you, or me, for that matter.
