Guest guest
Thanks to all for the warm welcomes. It's really nice to know that there are people who understand!!! My question is this...my dr. has told me, and the rheumatologist has told me, that fibro is not associated with any swelling. I saw the rheumatologist on Saturday, and while I was still at the office, after the visit, as I was visiting the ladies room, my wrist started hurting. I rubbed it a little, and it hurt worse. I looked at it and it was all swollen up. This happened in the time it took to walk to the ladies room and out again! Now it is bruised and swollen and painful, and my left wrist is slightly swollen. My question is, " What's up with that? " It scares me, because I know I did not injure myself in anyway, yet I am injured. I do not have any type of arthritis or rheumatism or any inflamatory disease, AND, just to be on the safe side, I'm on one course of steroids " just in case " I do have any swelling in my joints or tendons, since I did have pain. I have one pill left of 11 to take. Can't figure this one out. I began having a panic attack in the tub yesterday, imagining I had broken my wrist and had bone cancer...my f-i-l just died of bone cancer last November at age 59. I was taking care of him all the time, taking him to his appoitments, giving him shots and medications, the whole works. He died in his sleep, my husband found him, he was not expected to die, his dr. said his cancer was not terminal. Anyway, my irrational fear sets in, that I caught cancer from him, although I know it's impossible, and I've just had every test under the sun and know I don't have cancer. My husband had to tell me, you don't have cancer, you're fine, there's nothing wrong. My f-i-l's first sign of bone cancer was back pain and x-ray showed cracked vertebrae that he had no idea when or how it happened. It's just like a bad night mare. Thanks again for letting me vent. What a great place this is!
